Xperia U app memory (Phone memory)

Hi all, I am thinking to buy Xperia U.

     I heard that in 8GB memory, 2GB is for system, 2GB for apps and 4GB for user..

So my questions are..

1.Only 2GB is allocated for apps.. That means i cant use more apps or what?

2. If I install a game where it will be stored? In apps memory or user available memory?

Please help me..

It wil be stored in user. You have 4gb for apps and games,

Welcome to the forum.

1) 2 GB is more than enough for apps

2)It depends. the most thing that takes space is the data not the app. You can move it to sd card / internal storage

          One more question.. Can I move any media files in app memory?

Not actually. You might need root and still the walkman would not read the songs and video

Thanks for the links jatinrungta,

I have to buy XU then have to do all those things.. So after rooting I can use whole 6gb then..

But what about games... Can i play a game which is in app memory?

I think you are not understanding the point out here

The thing is the app memory means like lets say APK memory ie it will hold all your apk files and in some cases some data files

Games ( eg nfs has 1.8 gb data but only 25 mb of apk so 25 goes in app memory while other 1.8 in sdcard) are mostly installed in the sdcard ie the internal storage (4 gb) ie the data(can go upto 10 gb) is in the sd card and the apk (mostly 1-100 mb only).
