Notification ringtone

I can't get my incoming message ringtone to change from the default. Have gone through the normal procedure, and it indictes the tone has been changed but it hasn't really..any ideas?

I would recommend you to remove the battery and turn your phone again and try to change the ringtone. If that doesn't work, you can try updating the software of your phone to see if there is a minor glitch that is not letting you do this. I would also like to know if you are able to change the others ringtones like the incoming calls and the regular notifications?

Tried all of the above mentioned to remedy, but unfortunately no change. Call ringtones will change as will other notification, but not message ringtones?!?

Hello, I have an x8 and this is what I do to change the message tone.

     1.Select the messaging icon.

     2.Click the Menu button

     3.Select settings

     4.Select Notification tone.

     5.Choose your desired one and select done.

You should now have a new message tone if it works.
