Bought Xperia Acro S today. It was a very good phone, well satisfied with it. Not until I installed Quickpic (3rd party picture viewer). And to my surprise, the pics from the Album app and Quickpic are exactly the same in terms of color saturation, noise and contrast! WHY is that SONY?

I have had Xperia ARC and RAY for a year or so, then sold the ARC because of the "CRACK" near the sensor. Got Samsung GSII with a horrible screen which I dont wanna look at, then sold it after 3 days and made me go back to SONY. But til this time after reading several comments, a lot of people noticed that the mBE is not working and Sony is not giving any CLEAR answer or solution for the issue.

I had about 20 SE phones and this is the first real Sony phone I have, please don't disappoint me. Any moderator or Sony Exec, please give me a reasonable answer for this query.

well it seems that the problem is just for unlocked bootloader devices( atleast in XS case )

we have unlocked our devices since GB & we didnt have any problem. after ICS update, unlocked devices have BE bug...

unlocking bootloader was not supposed to disable BE feature.

you are correct dude,

thanks to our brothers from XDA in helping us getting into conclusion with this issue. it was very satisfying to see how XS and Acro S owners worked together in knowing the root cause of non working BE.

shame on Sony and its developers or representatives who didnt even post a single USEFUL and EDUCATING response to our complain.

still hoping to see them fixing this issue though. however at this point of time, i am starting to lose hope in getting a fix.

if i wont be getting this fix after a month or so, this will be the last Sony phone i will ever own. regardless on how good Xperia V could be.

It was a dreadful experience that the main reason for me in buying an EXPENSIVE phone is not working and the manufacturer doesnt even care in releasing a SOFTWARE FIX!

I recently updated my Xperia U to ICS and had the problem. I also unlock my bootloader before. Sony staff please take note!!

This seems to be some universal problems in all 2012 Xperias! Alot of people from various models are suffering from this. Wonder how long Sony will take to figure out a solution :@

where is JOHAN? What are you guys doing to fix this? I have been waiting for several days now. updated to .50 firmware and the issue was not fixed! ANSWER THE QUESTION!

I also experience this. I have an Xperia Ray and the mBE works only in "Xperia Gallery" app and not in the stock ICS Gallery (square pink-center icon). Any update about this matter? Btw, my bootloader is not unlocked. Don't even know what it is for.

I'm posting just to say that I'm still looking into this and reading all of your posts and also over at XDA it seems to be related to unlocked boot loader running on ICS somehow, but I don't have any exact answer yet. I have forwarded this to our developers to have them look at this and I will give you guys an answer as soon as I hear anything from them.

In the meantime, is there anybody experiencing this problem running on ICS with locked boot loader? (not re-locked using unofficial tools)
