How do you switch off the text to speech function. I tried out the smart tags the car one that came with the phone activated the text to speech function. After searching through every settings menu on the phone I cannot find any way of switching this fuunction off.

Halpp please this is driving me nuts

it is the smarttag, just delete anything that you have pre-set with your smarttags

not sure which one is annoying you but see if this helps.

Setting>Accessibility>TalkBack --you can turn this to OFF.

Thanks Pretty obvious now that you pointed it out. Was confused by after the apps to start it had in the end session switch off text to speech I couldn't work out how to end the session. This has releved the embaresment of my hpone reading out my GF text messages to me in public areas.
