Capybara, related to the guineapig but weighing up to 66 kgs, are the largest rodents in the world. This one is sitting on hard, frosted ground, watching me as his friends attemped to graze. They are fascinating animals to watch, and with familiarity with guinea pigs, one tends to feel an Alice-in-Wonderland quality, as though having shrunk in size, to be seeing such huge guinea-pig like animals.
