Sony Xperia M5 waterproof?

I bought my Sony Xperia M5 under the assumption that it was waterproof, now I had to realize that it had set all functions, after I had dipped it in the water, the different categorizations for "waterproof" are opaque to the customer Confusing, very poor service from Sony, never again

@gunghi if you are having some issues with your device because apparently the waterproofing failed, please contact your Local support - they will assess your phone and discover what really happened to it.. if water damaged.

About the M5.. it is water/dust proof so this means that you will be able to get it wet or to submerge it to up 1 meter BUT you will have to pay attention that the phone is perfectly sealed and that the flaps are not damaged. If the phone is about one year old, I will personally not try to submerge it as the regular wear/tear may have reduced the waterproofing.
