Hi @itt920, I am sorry to hear about that. 
Do you experience that the microphone does not work regardless if you use the speaker mode, or the ear speaker during a call? In addition, if you record a video using the camera, is there sound?
Have you had the chance to test the microphone in Diagnostics? In order to do so, go to Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test > Microphone, how does it perform here?
In addition, please try to see if it works better while in safe mode, this will let you know if there could be a third party app causing this.
