Error: "Unfortunately Audio settings has stopped"

Hi,

The problem is that I have no sound at all in my phone (without or with headphones, no difference). If I go to Settings/Sound & notification/ and try to check audio settings I get the error "Unfortunately Audio settings has stopped". The same behavior if I restart in Safe mode. It didn't happen after installing or updating any app, it just happenned

Xperia M2 (D2303)

Android 5.1.1

This could be hardware related, however you should first try going through a software repair to see if this helps resolve it.
