Contacts stock app crashes

Hi! 

My Xperia phone contact app is crashed.Whenever I tried to look a contact a message appeared that contacts have stopped working. 

Pl help on this. Since this app is by default in phone I can't delete it.

Try clearing Phone app cached data (This may delete your call logs):

- Go to Settings -> Apps -> Phone -> Force stop, then go to Storage -> Clear data and restart your phone.

Still facing the same problem even after performing the suggested solution

Hi, 

Can you respond so that either the contact app can be corrected aur this default app can be deleted. I have tried what was suggested and it yields no results
