Hi, I bought this HiFi (CMT-750ni) about 9 years ago simply so that I could access international radio channels as it claimed to do so. It worked for a while then stopped altogether, apparently due to licensing issues. I was disappointed but at the time I was busy with work and did not have time to raise this with Sony. About 2 years ago the CD player stopped playing altogether. Now, it doesn't even turn on. Whenever I try to turn it on it seems to almost short circuit and turn off immediately. I paid a lot of money at the time and I am disappointed it has not lived up to expectations. As I do not like to just throw electronics away if they can be salvaged, has anyone experienced te same and resolved these issues? I would welcome to hear from you.
