WF-1000X earbud compatibility with bluetooth speaker adapter

I have purchased a bluetooth to speaker jack adapter commonly used on airplanes to eliminate the headphones with cable. This product is made by Mitone. I have made many attempts following the bluetooth pairing procedure on the adapter and on the headphones, and I am unable to get the headphones paired to the bluetooth adapter.
SONY tells me that they are not compatible, but does not offer a solution. Does anyone know of an adapter from speaker (headphone) jack to bluetooth that is compatible with the SONY WF-1000X earbuds?

Hi @Griz210, welcome to the Sony Community 

There are quite a few 3rd-party manufacturers making these products but I'm not sure which will work with the WF-1000X earbuds. There is a chance another Community member has found one, or it may be that Sony Support can help out. Drop them a line and see what they say.
