On November 26 I saw Sony camera cashback activity from currys, so I decided to buy a Sony digital compact camera. Registration and application for cash back activities were conducted on the official website on 11/26/2017. Because it is purchased online, there is no paper invoice. The first email replied by sony told me that they did not receive a valid invoice (12/05/2017). I found the electronic version of the invoice from the mailbox. So I sent that to Sony. I thought this time should be able to get cash back, but after two weeks, the email I got from sony said that I missed the deadline to participate in cash back activities. I immediately sent another e-mail and call the relevant staff. The answer was that they did receive the mail but the invoice could not be opened. I went to the local currys shop and got the receipt, So once again I sent out the required documents for the event on December 21, unfortunately on January 9, 2018, they notified me that it was too late to participate in the event. The reason is more interesting, they did not receive any email on 21th. . . Ha ha. . . The email I sent out is still in my mail box, E-mail sending status is successful. How could they not receive my email? The cash back activity seems a joke for me. Share my experience for you, sad and disappointed!:angry_devil:hope you can get the cashback.

Yes , they are also giving me the run around, scam does come to mind.

When I bought my last Canon EOS with a cashback promise , at least they honoured it, perhaps I should have bought Canon again. 🤬

I also am being given the run around.  Sony replied to my submission to say the serial numbers don't match (but they didn't say what with) and I need to re-submit.  I've tried to do this, but the website tells me I can't submit as I've already made a submission for that lens.  I've sent two emails asking for clarification, but had no reply.  I will try and call them today on the number listed on the support page, but it really isn't being handled very well.

Sony have told me that model numbers do not match and I have been given a link to re apply and the link does not work.

Sony have accepted registration of this camera and all detail is correct, it seems they do not intend to honour their advert.

My next step will be with the dealer as my purchase contract is with them and they sold me the new camera advertising a cashback which is not being honoured.

I telephoned support two days ago and as requested e mailed a further copy of official receipt. There has now been a further e mail stating that the model differs to original request which is untrue and that the claim is invalidated and to re submit claim, a link was provided which does not work.

The original request was accepted as was the camera registration with Sony. 

It appears that with constant obstruction they hope we will drop the claim. A sad state of affairs.
