PRS 300 not charging why????

Hi, I have had my reader for 9 months, but bought it from e bay as used, it was only 3 months old.  It won't charge, it shows battery empty even after over night then all day charging.  Could the battery need replacing? Also how do I do this?  Have hardly used it as not had time due to work committments.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

It sounds as though your battery may need replacing, although I would expect it to last longer than 12 months or so, however according to Sony when the battery needs to be replaced in a PRS300 you need to consult your nearest Sony Service Center..
