April's photography competition – Old Style

Good old times! For April's photography competition, travel back in time and show us your perfect "old style" image. Set your creativity free and use your integrated picture effects, apps or editing tools to create your perfect old style picture - you could win an amazing ɑ6000 camera!

Remember, you’re only one shot away from winning our monthly photography competition! All you have to do is upload your photographs to the Competition gallery here, and tag them with your country label. Good luck!

Terms and Conditions

1.  This promotion is open to residents of the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Ireland, Nordics, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Russia and Romania only and entrants must be aged 18 or over.

2. Entrants will need to select the correct label for their country of residence. Entrants who select the wrong country will not be eligible to win.

3. No purchase is necessary to participate in the competition.

4. In order to be eligible to enter the competition you must have a Community profile.  If you do not have one, you can register on the site for free (at http://community.sony.co.uk).

5. Members of Sony and their supporting agencies are not allowed to join the competition.

6. Please be aware that taking pictures of random people on the street is prohibited by law without their consent. Please always make sure to ask their approval upfront.

7. The winner will receive an ɑ6000 camera.

8. The competition runs from 12:00 (noon) CET on Monday 14th ofApril 2014 and will close on Sunday 11th of May at 23:59 CET. No entries will be accepted after 23:59 CET on that date. 

9. All submissions must be the user's own work. Please make sure that you’re the image owner and have full rights on the picture. If you take pictures of people please make sure that you have a signed model contract.

10. Pictures will be judged by our photo community team. The winning picture selection will take place on Tuesday 13th of May 2014.  The judge’s decision is final. (Votes are only a reference and are not the deciding factor.)

11. The winner will be notified by email within 2 days of the selection having taken place.

12. If no response to the notification is received from the winner within 72 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner.

13. The prize will be delivered to the winner within 6 weeks after the date of response from the winner.

14. Any taxes payable in relation to the prize will be for the winner to bear.

15. No maximum number of competition entries.

16. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable. No cash or credit alternative is available.

17. Should the prize become unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to provide a substitute, similar prize of approximately equivalent or greater value.

18. By entering the prize draw, participants will be deemed to have accepted and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
