Sony KDL-32WE613BU loses connectivity

Hi Folks,

 

We have a Sony TV (KDL-32WE613BU) bought last December and for the first week or so everything worked fine once it was set up.

 

After that first week now there are connectivity issues when using any of the programs. For example, with Netflix the connectivity will drop out randomly after a few minutes and you need to turn the tv off and on again and then it will run again for another few minutes. This also applies to other programs (such as youtube etc). Sometimes, there is a blank screen with the error code tvq-pb-101 (3.1.2) in the bottom right hand corner.

 

We have already tried a factory reset but this did not fix the issue.

 

The current software version is v8.464-1000-1.700-0002 

 

Is it possible this needs upgrading?

Update

 

Having checked through wifi issues, including testing for usage on 2.4 and 5 GHz and found multiple neighboring networks being used we manually adjusted to a freer channel on 2.4 and then disabled 5Ghz on the router and so far it seems to be working ok.

Having checked through wifi issues, including testing for usage on 2.4 and 5 GHz and found multiple neighboring networks being used we manually adjusted to a freer channel on 2.4 and then disabled 5Ghz on the router and so far it seems to be working ok.
