Sony KD49X8005C latest Firmware v5.435 TV switches on Randomly

Since the firware upadate my TV switches itself ON randomly, often in the middle of the night (3 times last night) leaving me now feeling tired and frustrated. The frequency of switching ON appears to be increasing. The Sync is set to off as is also the timer settings. I removed its remote away from the TV. I have a firestick connected and a BT Youview Box.

I'm thinking about disconnecting from the internet and/or doing a factory restore but I'm relucatant as I would loose all my settings.

Any ideas.

Is there away of reporting this bug to Sony as it would appear to be Firmware related?

First thing they will suggest you to make a factory reset, so as annoying as it may be I'd suggest you to take a screensht of your setting and proceed

Thank you for comment, I've just done a complete factory reset and also changed electric sockets so will see what happens now. It maybe ok for hours even days before the fault occurs again, not confident as it should not happen at all.

Yes, Sony UK Support  I would get yourself prepared with your serial number and purchase receipt.

I have been using firmware v5.435 since June and mine has been performing without any problems. KD-43X8305C.

I've factory reset the TV which appears to have fixed the random boot but its still behaving oddly. Sometimes it will boot in 8 seconds another time 15 seconds and when I change user settings such as colour next time I reboot these settings are often lost. Once it wouldnt start at all until I remove the plugged from the wall and restarted again. I dont have any confidence in the TV but dont know what else to do.
