I myself has an Sony Bravia ( as in the header).
I had this one brand new,but had many issues with the firmware( build in Digital Decoder).
This may be unusual that people use it nowdays- since many contries uses external decoders ( Crome cast etc)- for an ex. in Sweden nowdays everyone uses external decoders.
But from my point of wiew I don't want an extra device( remote)- besides the one I already have.
Since this model has an combi decoder ( DVB-T/T2,C)- can pick up signals from both; cable, sat,and regular antenna.
I myself bought if for aprox 2 years ago,but last week it seems that my decoder broke.
Because what happends for me is that I neither can pick up any signal from any antenna.
But at the other hand of wiew it's rediculus that an device don't has longer lifespan.
I myself had never heard of a shorter lifespan- because however back in older times ( with analogue tv), an Tv would last for 10 years or more.
But in nowdays it seems to be calculated that an decoder would not last longer than 1 year.
Because this is what many manufactures gives as standard= wich is the same as an total lifespan.
So what I wonder if it's possible to repair it- or do I have to buy an external decoder?
