In the last week our troublesome Sony Bravia 55AG invariably performs a "soft reboot" within one or two minutes after switch on.( By soft re-boot I mean a re-boot which is performed by holding down the "On" button for a few seconds).
Further detail: On switch-on, after the TV has been in standby overnight, or in standby for some hours, it performs normally for a couple of minutes - e.g. channels can be changed, apps all perform correctly etc. The TV then switches off with the led white light reducing to its normal dim mode. After about a minute the led extinguishes with the screen remaining blank. Waiting a further few minutes the screen comes on displaying the coloured symbols which morph into the Sony logo - just as if a "soft reset" has been performed. After that everything functions normally.
The TV was bought in December 2019 - so if we weren’t in this horrendous state of Covid 19 lock down I’d return it to the dealer – it has been the worst purchase for many a year!.
I have exactly the same issue. Also keep seeing “WiFi not connected” message appear in top right corner. Seems a commons issue but as yet no fixes. Both issues very frustrating.
