Hi,

I've just read a "What Hi-Fi" article on the XH9505 from May 2020, where they say "Freesat is coming via a future software update".

Does anyone know anything about this and will it be for 2020 models only or will Sony back port it?

I just read that review too and wondered the same thing... I doubt it'll happen for pre 2020 models but I live in hope my 2019 XG8096 might get the option to use Freeview and the satellite input and keep the streaming apps too (I know you can sideload using the hoshsadiq method but prefer to keep it simple.
