Can I use a Firestick with my Sony LCD W4000?

Advice please! I have a SONY 32” LCD W4000, and it is brilliant! I am shocked to see that it is nearly 12 years old.

I wonder whether a firestick will work with this model, or whether I should simply replace the TV with a Smart TV.

Yes it should fine, I use a Firestick with my 32W4000 and have no issues.

Mine is still giving excellent results, it did cost £900 in 2008 but an excellent TV

I’m back for more help. I have the firestick for my LCD W4000, and am ready to go. It won’t connect, and I’m guessing it’s to do with the Wi-fi. There appears to be no ‘network feature’ in settings to enable me to connect. Any thing I should be doing differently?

It should be pretty straightforward, following this guide

https://www.wikihow.com/Connect-Amazon-Fire-Stick-to-WiFi

Apparently if your wifi network is a hidden SSID then it's not possible

It should work, but having my self the same tv and an OLED A1 ... it is not that brilliant I can assure you. And 32" is really small nowadays. Obviously if you have wish and money to buy a proper new tv

Thank You. Some key instructions were missing, which would have been obvious to a technically literate individual! However, I persevered and it’s working. Thanks for your help. Appreciate it!
