Hello.
During CES I heard a news that Sony will bring Android 6 (Marshmallow) to the 2015 TV lineup.
General News about Marshmallow on Android TV's
These news are from January.
Had anyone heard something new about this?
I've just gotten home from work and installed MM. So far I'm MORE than satisfied! The navigation is a lot snappier, the volume bar is way better, and best of all (for me) the EPG doesn't interrupt the program you're watching! Also, a new "genres" menu point is added to the EPg so you can sort program by genre, nifty!
The discover menu is also snappier and a lot nicer (does anyone really use that feature?).
I've just installed the update, so I haven't had much time playing around with it yet.
Installed it from USB, no factory reset at all. The update took about 10 - 15 minutes total.
yes, it will delete everything
And guys, don't reset your TV just to reset it. See how it performs first. In all those updates since the begining of ATV I had to do that just once.
Any chance that Timeshift functionality is included in this update?
Nope.
This has failed as the rest does not recognise the remote at all
Dear all
It is NOT mandatory to do a factory reset. It is just this communities experience that it helps in the long run. So in essence, you dont have to if you dont want to.
Cheers
I use the Discover feature. Have not noticed any differences after the update.
'Disappointed that YouTube cannot be added to MT APPS.
Also where is the new home page customisation.
I want to hide the apps i do not use. Forced to see all these apps.
Homevpage is not any cleaner in terms of user interface.
Did anybody found any file manager that can write to USB drive which is not configured as "storage"?
