AF9 with AV receiver, subwoofer and rear speakers

I searched the posts but it seems nobody has asked this question, but my apologies if I missed it.

I have just taken delivery of an AF9 and am considering whether or not to integrate it into the 5.1 setup I was using with my previous plasma monitor. Does anyone have any experience using the AF9 connected to an AV receiver in with the AF9 acting as fronts and centre but with rears and a subwoofer connected? In this conceptual environment I wouldn't connect the centre channel to the AF9 and would, goes my experimental thinking, reduce the surround effect to minimum.

Anyone have any (non insulting) thoughts on this?

Hi nieldm,

Welcome to the community.

I'll just see if I can find anything out for you. Maybe someone else in the community can help in the meantime.

Thanks,

Pascale

Hi nieldm,

To use your TV speakers as the centre speaker, connect the output of your AV receiver to the CENTER SPEAKER IN on your TV. It should be that simple.

Hi @nieldm,

In addition to the reply by my colleague @Win_88, note also that your AF9 TV supports an integration into your existing 5.1 setup acting only as the C channel. So it can't act as the three (L+C+R) channels you mention.

I hope I didn't misunderstand your intention, else feel free to repost your question.

Cheers,
