I'm expecting a Minolta 7D to land in a few days time and assume the original software CD won't be supplied (I could be wrong). The standard Minolta .MRW RAW file software isn't available as a standalone download from the KM website (only the updates are).
My research suggests that the Sony IDC won't open the .MRW RAW file format, only the Sony .ARW, though I do have CS5 which will handle the Minolta .MRW file format, but there are elements of the Sony IDC that I like to use before transferring to CS5 to finish off.
Can anyone confirm that my information is correct and what's the consensus of asking Sony's software boffins to release a SR v3.3 version of IDS to include .MRW file handling?
Thanks in advance, oh and yes, I will check the firmware version (already downloaded firmware v1.10 files, installation guide and .pdf user manual), though if it has FFB issues, it'll have to stay like it as support from Sony has now ceased.
