I am facing heating issues with my Sony Xperia 5 IV mobile which I purchased in March.
It happens every time I charge it from WiFi charger pad of car.
I used hard leather cover and keep credit card also in the phone cover.

Anyone know if Sony has issued similar statement on WiFi charging overheating phones?
Next time I will try removing phone from phone cover and charging.
Will update with my results.
