HDR crushed black/saturation glitch

Hi,

I have noticed an issue with HDR material whether it was played through Netflix or Album apps on Xperia 5 and Xperia 1. The issue is when the brightness is maxed out on Standard color mode or Creator mode, the black levels gets crushed and picture becomes over saturated in addtion to color banding. After spending some time playing around with setting I found out the only way to avoid this is to set the brightness around 90-95% then everything gets redered correctley!

Is the software team aware of this issue?

Thanks

Xperia 5 (J9210)

Build number 55.0.A.11.21

UPDATE: I took some photos using my camera to show an example of the over stauration and crushed blacks when playing HDR title in Netflix. Its not 100% accurate when it comes to color representation as seen in person.

Have you calibrated your white balance, or just left on a preset.?

Its already adjusted to custom settings. Its a software glitch otherwise it wouldnt get affected at certain brightness levels. For some reason maximum brightness while playing HDR content on xperia 5 breaks image settings

Just an idea:

I can imagine that the 100% brightness is meant to maximize visibility in direct sunlight. It may well be that it boosts the brightness and prioritizes the contrasts while overriding the picture quality settings.

You know, some kind of "just give me all you've got"-boost.

At least I can remember such a behaviour on my old Lumia phones. In direct sunlight the colours shifted to provide maximum visibility.
