RJ 45 cover snapped off - Help

Hello all

I'm brand new on here

I've taken a delivery of a AR21s, unfortunately the cover that covers the RJ45 socket has broken already, doh

Will i be able to purchase a new one from Sony does anybody know?

Please advise, or point me in the right direction

Hi Leetay and welcome to Club Vaio.

I am not sure if it can be replaced without sending your Vaio for repair. Best contact VAIO-LINK for advice.

I hope not, could cost upto about £150 labour etc, bet the part is only about £10

Welcome to Club Vaio,

Althought your AR21's not listed, you could contact Nexttronics to see if they can supply the RJ45 cover and try and find a local repairer to fit it for you..:smileyconfused:

Hi Lee

VAIO Link should be able to replace it if you took delivery of the machine and it was like that. If you did this yourself then I'd be tempted to leave it be as it's only there as a design feature, it's not worth £150+ for that
