Hi spookie,

Your model comes with standard memory of 512 MB and is upgradeable to 2048 MB. The normal configuration is one 512 MB chip in slot 1 with slot 2 empty but check that slot 2 is empty before ordering a single module just in case 2 x 256 MB chips have been installed.

One memory slot is in a compartment on the underside of the notebook and the other is under the keyboard. Have a look here for details on fitting/replacing memory.

I suggest that you speak to Crucial.com re compatible memory. You will not find your model listed but I am sure that they will be able to supply the correct modules for your model and they guarantee compatibility.

Upgrading to 1024 MB will certainly give improved performance with some applications.
