    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Trivialix and welcome to the forum.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Could be a number of things…..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Firstly the inverter may be faulty or the cabling between that and the mother board is damaged or not connected securely.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Alternatively the micro switch that blanks the monitor when you close the lid may be faulty.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Either way, assuming that your machine is still under warranty, I suggest that you open a case with Sony Support&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.at/html/@8A5BDCECEE2E5AB683F2BDAA500F2036/images/smilies/035.png" alt=":slight_frown:" title=":slight_frown:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi, yesterday the screen of my one year old Vaio VGN-FS285H turned into black. I have been in the internet and I didn't moved the notebook when the screen "turned off". But I can still dim the lighting and the notebook is still working(I connectet it to an external monitor and it worked on it). Has anybody an idea what the problem could be? Thanks a lot&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
