Hi All

I have a FE21S and would appreciate any assistance with this problem. Is there any way that I can assign either shortcut keys (S1 or S2) to disable/enable the touchpad. Without going through the Sony Control Centre sequence.

I usually use a mouse with a USB key for speed of access to commands, but I often need to begin using the keyboard quickly and then I get errors by touching the pad. I do not want to have the pad disabled permenantly as I often use it for moving the pointer.

Would be grateful for any ideas

If your machine has the same software as mine then try setting one of the S keys to run C:\Program Files\Sony\Setting Utility Series\VCCPointingDevice.exe

This should bring up the touchpad enable/disable window.
