Sorry Franz - you obviously only have one module installed. This is accessed by removing the memory panel from the bottom of your Vaio. (two screws hold it shut)

See Page 101 of your User Manual.

This .PDF file will take a while to download.

PCIIDEX.SYS is a PCI IDE Bus Driver Extension and is one of the drivers for your ATA Storage Controller.

Either the Driver is corrupt or it is trying to use an impossibly high IRQL. It could also indicate a hard drive problem as the stop error is caused by the hard disc controller.

Go to Device Manager and expand the "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers".
Double Click on the ATA Storage Controller (on my computer this is an 'Intel(R) 8280' device).
Select 'Driver'>Details and check that PCIIDEX.SYS is being used.
Uninstall the driver and reboot.

If this doesn't work you may have to install a different version of the driver manually as the PCIIDEX.SYS in your System32 directory may be buggered. Search in C:\Windows\i386\SP2.CAB although I think it is available in several different places.

Good Luck
