IrDA not active

The infrared port on my AR11S doesn't seem to be active although the config says it is.

I'm trying to get my Polar Heart rate monitor to synch using the IR port but I just get this helpful message "IR port not configured" ???

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi everyone,

I think you will find that you do not have an IR port. It is a receiver only.

The IR receiver you see on your Vaio will only work with the MCE Remote Control.

The market has moved to Bluetooth and very few Notebooks have an IR port anymore.
