I have a Vaio PCG-TR2MP since 3 years.
Now I tried to install UMTS modem card (Dutch KPN 710).
Card is not recognized as a modem.
PCMCIA port is in good order, other cards are working fine.
UMTS modem card can be installed on different laptop without any problem.
Some weeks ago I tried the same with a Vodaphone UMTS card: same problem.
According to helpdesk KPN, both cards have the same manufacturer, so there must be a compatibility problem.
Looking at the forum I'm not the only one, but I see no solution.
Any bright ideas.
Windows XP sp2 installed, never any problem. I like my little vaio and want to have umts access.
