Hi,

I can't use a cable (dsl) to get on-line basically, the local area connection isn't seeing the cable when I plug it in.

It see's it for a milli-second then cuts off.

As i'm in a hotel that doesn't have wireless, it's a bit of a pain.

Could it be my firewall or something ?

I go on to the properties page for the Local Area Connection & it say's that everything is working properly.

So, i'm not really sure if there's a fault or it's something that's wrong with my pc.

Any ideas ?

Thanks.

Hi,

I usually use my wireless to connect to the internet, but I'm staying in a hotel at the moment that doesn't have wireless, so I'm having to connect via a cable.

But , my Local Area connection isn't working properly, it isn't recognising that I've plugged a cable in.

Is there anything that I can do to rectify this ? Is it to do with my drivers or something ?

Thanks.
