topic Vaio Power/Battery problem in PCs & Accessories

I have a Vaio VGN-NR21Z, totally as standard. It works fine on mains power but battery life is short (max 20-25 minutes on High Performance setting). If I forget to plug in the mains it will usually die in about 10-20 minutes.

If I then plug it in, it (almost always) won't respond at all to switch on for maybe hours. But on the rare occasions that it will switch on immediately the battery will show maybe 50% charge.

I can live without paying over £200 for a new battery from Sony!!!!! but why would the Vaio not come to life when power is restored? It can't be the battery as it works with mains on and the battery removed.

Any ideas please. Thank you.

Message was edited by: rijenki54

Message was edited by: rijenki54
