I've recently had this camera serviced. Since it came back from Sony it runs normally for a few minuutes and tehn goes into a series of demo screens which I can't figure out how to get rid of. Any ideas?

OK I've found demo mode in the manual but it's not coming up as an option in the setup screen of the menu. I've tried the camera in both camera and vcr mode and I've tried with a tape in and no tape in.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello CHowson - Welcome to the Sony Forums

If you are getting normal operation and then it suddenly goes into demo mode - that may indicate an internal fault within the camera. In the first instance, as you have said that it has recently been serviced, I would get in touch with the company that you used to see if there is anything that they can suggest i.e. depending upon the terms of the repair/service, there may be a guarantee offered for a fixed period of time which would cover situations such as this.

Thanks,

Simon
