Re:-Sony DCR-TRV18E my Mac computer does not seem to recognise USB connection to DCR do I need software interface and if so where and how can I get it? I wish to transfer mini DV recordings to DVD via imovie!

Hi spud-we-like, welcome to the Sony Forums

You need a Firewire cable like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Firewire-Cable-6pin-4pin-1-8m/dp/B00005NIMR connected to the DV-out port on your camera.

Hook it up, open iMovie, click the camera icon and away you go
