PMB can't get past inspecting the current video environment - any ideas - Latest version has been downloaded from site. I'm rumming Windows 7 64-bit

Hello DLDray - Welcome to the Sony Forums

Windows 7 (64 bit) can be a little frustrating sometimes and I must admit I just usually end up with a memory card reader and other third party software. Having said that, you may find that running the installation software that is intended for 32 bit systems could help or at the very least, you could try running it as an administrator by right-clicking the install file and 'Run As Administrator'.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll try running as administrator. Hopefully, Sony will launch a 64 bit version soon.

Well, on one hand I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue (http://www.sony.gr/discussions/message/775458) and on the other hand I'm sad this issue exists.

Anyway, I just tried running everything as administrator, and still get the same behaviour :smileysad:. I guess we'll have to wait for the 64-bit version to come out?

Same issue here - stalls at 'inspecting the current video environment'. Win 7 64bit. Tired twice and same result. I let it hold at that page for 40 mins the 2nd time in case it was just slow. Using 3rd party software. Sony are a bit like Samsung - excellent hardware but dreadful software support.
