Sony DCR-DVD705 crashes everytime I try to record.

I have a Sony DCR-DVD705 Handycam and it has worked fine for me.

Recently, I tried using it. I tried recording a video but it just crashes everytime. Even when I go into the play video menu.

However, if I try to take a photo with it, it works fine. I can even go into the view photo menu.

Any assistance with this would be much appreciated.

If it helps, I am using a Verbatim disc to record with it, not a Sony disc.

Hello khsunny786 - Welcome to the Sony Forums

Is the problem only occuring with one particular brand of DVD disc. I know you mentioned that you have tried Verbatim media with it already but if it is ok with other brands then it is either a brand specific issue or the disc that you are trying to use may need to be re-formatted in the camera.
