So I get the CX730, on the box is a delclaration that the camera works with iMovie. What it does not say is that only some of the generated video files work.

What is the best way to import 50p files into iMovie or Final Cut Pro X?

I have tried searching the web but it would aphear from there I will need to buy additional software to do it.

Any advice on the best way from Sony

Dave

Hello Dave

Unfortunately, I am not a Mac owner/user myself and as such my usefulness in this article may be limited. Having said that, I have noticed that this question has been asked in various places on the internet and a lot of solutions seem to involve purchasing extra software - something that I usually go out of my way to avoid doing

Take a look at this article about 50p file editing on Mac:

http://ianperegian.com/My_FZ35_38_Webpage/Edit_1080_50p_and_burn_a_disk.html

Some other links are given to existing discussions around this topic too. If you still don't get any joy from this, let me know and I will speak to a contact of mine who is more proficient when it comes to Mac computers.

Thanks,

Simon

I will go check it out.

I have found lots of software that claims to do this and that but its which one to go for.... I hate down loading and installing stuff just to try. I would much rather go with a recomed. Any how I will go check out the thread you kindly posted.

Thanks and Ill be back to let everyone know how I get on

Dave
