Hi all, my camera's 14months old - very little use ... looking on the top ... the selector dial for programmes : M -S-A-P etc has stiffened up... if i look closely, there is a brown like substance appearing between the dial & base ..... anyone experienced this before ?<img src="https://community.sony.at/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/431471i6304AE5417BC4F18/image-dimensions/854x481?v=v2" width="854" height="481" role="button" title="camera.jpg" alt="item 202 - brown substance is showing where dial meets cover and is very stiff to turn.
Called Sony .... told me to try turning on and off camera remove battery etc after i told them fault is mechanical .... they informed i need to send my 14month old very little use £250 camera back to them to investigate and quote on repair cost .... not exactly very happy with this ..... as it will involve a postage to and a return postage cost that i have to pay.
