DSC-HX90 Zoom poroblem and support?

Hi my DSC-HX90 is no longer allowing the zoom to function other than a brief zoom in to 37mm only then it tells me to power off and on. Sony website suggests taking the battery out and waiting one min before replacing. Tried all, nothing works. Can't find local(?) support centre or repair options on website which seems overly complicated and not helpful with my problem - any helpful suggestions out there please?
