Aperture setting on my HX400V

Hi everyone,

Could anyone tell me why I can't get an aperture setting higher than F8 on my hx400v.

Even in aperture priority mode it does not seem to happen. I would love to be able to

go up to F11 or even F16 but I don't seem to be able to do this. Why?

since that is how the lens is build.

Every lens has a maximum level the iris can close and a maximum level the iris can open, which equals the possible F-Stops of each lens.

The higher the number, the more closed the iris is, the smaller the number, the bigger is the opening of the iris.
