DSC-W710 Picture help

Immediately after taking a picture i get a message on the screen saying "processing image". this slows down the ability to take the next picture. Is this normal ? if not any tips on how to remove it.

Hi tb1013 and welcome to the Sony Users Community.

Can you give us some more information?

1. How long is the processing delay? If this is just a few seconds it may take some seconds to write a large 16.1 MP image to the memory card.

2. What MemoryStick or SD Card are you using? If a SD Card it should be a speed of Class 4 or higher.

3. What shooting settings do you have set? Are you using any of the shooting functions that require the camera to process the image before it is saved. Some settings like Scene Recognition (Advanced), Sweep Panorama, Flash Usage and DRO may require some processing time.
