Has any one experienced the videos and pictures captured by Sony AS-15 cannot be displayed ?

I have very often made films and photos from the AS-15 and found the .mp4 and .jpg files cannot viewed from any video software, like VLC or even the Playmem. It is very annoying that you spent time and effort and got nothing from the AS-15.

The problem became obvious if the film ran for a longer time, especially when the AS-15 got pretty hot. Once a file was corrupted, the subsequent shooting would be damaged as well.

I have the same problem. But the camera does not overheat. It simpy "powers off": no sound, no lcd, dead. Its not the battery. It is caused by the vibration. I can reproduce it by shaking it hard. Try it yourself, simulate some G force. Maybe it's only mine Action Cam what was not build for some real action.

Ich habe das selbe Problem. Doch die Kamera überhitzt sich nicht. Es "schaltet sich aus", kein Ton, LCD ist leer, einfach mausetot. Dies wird durch die Vibration verursacht. Ich kann es reproduzieren indem ich die Kamera ganz kräftig schüttle. Probiere selbst mal einige G Kräfte zu simulieren. Vielleich ist nur meine Action Cam nicht fürs wahre Action gebaut.

How to reproduce:

1. Power on, start recording

2. Hit the cam with your finger under the lens. Aim for the Sony label.

3. Done. Power interrupter.

Cause: the battery is 2 mm smaller then the holder (I use type X) so when you hit the camera in front, it hits the contats and the bounces back, interrupting the power.

Fix: take a plastic or a hard paper to fill the gap. Now it works, i can shake it and hit it.

I would see a fix from Sony, i mean a replacement holder and a recovery software for fixing the files.

Und so kann man's nachvollziehen:

1. Kamera einschalten, Aufnahme starten

2. Klopfen Sie unter dem Objektiv auf die Sony Schrift.

3. Das war's. Strom unterbrochen.

Ursache: der Akku ist 2 mm kleiner als die Hülle (ich benutze Typ X), also wenn man auf die Vorderseite der Kamera klopft, drückt sich der Akku gegen den Kontakten und die lassen es wieder zurückspringen und so wir die Stromversorgung unterbrochen.

Lösung: Plastik oder hartes Papier in die Lücke schieben. Jetzt funktioniert es. Ich kann es schütteln und drauf klopfen.

Ich erwarte von Sony als Lösung eine Ersatzhülle und eine Software zur Reparatur der Dateien.

Having tested several times using Sony micro SD card (32GB), the video recording worked pretty good. No corruption nor quality problems.

So, I would suggest those having similar issues, please try again with the Sony Class 10 micro SD cards.

Die Hälfte meiner Dateien aus meinem Urlaub sind auch platt und ich kann das Problem genau wie beschrieben nachstellen.

Hat Sony sich in Bezug auf Repeartur der Dateien und Ersatzhülle mal geäußert?
