I have a ZR5 at home which I am quite happy with and I was going to by another but I saw that ZR7 has come down in price so theres not a big price difference. However after googling for half an hour I still haven't found any comparisons between the two, Is the ZR7 even a better sounding speaker or just different mechanics? Anyone here compared them IRL?

There's a comparison tool on the Sony website here. Just pick the products you're interested in and tick the box 'select to compare' in each one. Then click on 'compare now' and they will come up side by side with their specifications.

Of course Z7 will sound better, it has two bigger drivers, and bigger size for bass reproduction.
