US Model STR-DN1080 for use in Europe (Ireland)

I recently purchased a US model of the STR-DN1080 when I was in the US. I was told that it will be OK to plug it into the European mains. (Ireland) Can anybody confirm if this is OK to do as I purchased the UBP-X800

blu ray in the US as well and had not problems in using it in Ireland, Can I simply change the plugs or will I use an adaptor.

Nope, both only allow 120V max, if you plug it in Ireland, you will fry both!

you need to use a voltage converter
