I've had a pair of these headphones sent back because of issues with the bass causing the speakers to make a thumping/knocking sound when at high volume when the bass drums kick in. Got so bad I had to turn the volume right down to handle bass without distorting.

Now my new pair are doing the same thing. Mostly on the left speaker . I'm wondering if it's just a Sony thing and I just sell them and get momentum 3's.

I've got wh-700n's and they've got no such issue . I've also got sennheiser momentum 1's, akg-k550's and audio technicas.

These are the only cans I've owned that can't handle bass at volume. Kind of sickening seeing as I spent so much on them. I've never heard of anyone else with issues like this one. I've no confidence to turn the volume up .
