topic Can the WF-1000XM5 touch sensor functions be reconfigured? in Portable Audio

Hi, newbie member here. Just bought a pair of WF-1000XM5 earbuds. This was to replace a pair of XM4's which after a couple of years didn't hold their charge more than about 20 minutes. Is it possible to reconfigure the touch sensor functions? The XM4's only required (as I recall) a single tap (or at most a double) on the right earbud to increase volume and a single (or double?) tap on the left one to reduce volume. Now it's 4 taps on each side. I'd like to reconfigure to a single tap on each side for increasing / reducing volume, a double-tap (left or right) for noise cancelling / ambient sound, and quite honestly that's all I really need.
