Hi All,

Hope this finds you all well.

Hope someone can help.

I have a SONY SMARTPHONE, XPERIA XA1.

I've just started using it to stream SKY SPORTS.

Poor picture quality though.

I'm using PLUSNET internet through WIFI.

I get 30Mb/s download on my laptop but only 2 or 3 Mb/s on my Xperia (I actually get a better upload speed than down on my Xperia !!). This is with the laptop and Xpeaia in exactly the same location and with only one of them turned on.

Why is the WIFI reception so inferior on my Xperia?

I trust you are running Speedtest.net in order to get those results and are using the same server each time?

1. The display on your phone is 720p only so will never be as good as the laptop

2. The laptop is much larger and has the ability to have a much larger and better wifi card =and therefore faster wifi, than your phone.

XA1 whilst being an excellent phone it still is in the budget end of the market.

That being said

Still you should get faster results than 2mb/s that is providing you are using the SAME SERVER to test with.
