Can I use different charger?

Hello I bought xperia x about a week ago and since then the charger which came with the phone is charging very slow and I also contacted with the Sony Center in my country and they replied saying that they don't sell fast charger or any other charger for any of the devices available here. So since xperia x supports USB 2.0 fast charger, can I use other company's charger which supports USB 2.0 technology?

Hi @Newsh23, welcome to the community.

While we recommend you use an official Sony Charger, as we can guarantee it, any Android charger should work with your phone. Please be aware that Sony is not responsible for any issues you may see when you use a third party charger.

Thank you for the reply. I am using Sony UCH20 charger which comes with mobile set. But unfortunately it doesn't charge fast enough. It takes around 2 hrs to charge from 40% to charge fully. And it barely last a day when I play heavy games like fifa 15 and other games.

Is there any solution to charge fast and reduce the battery percentage while I play games?

@Newsh23,

If you are playing games, watching video, browsing the internet a lot etc, your battery will drain faster. Getting less than a day would be normal if you are playing FIFA a lot.

Please be aware that the more apps you have running in the background while you charge it. You can try other chargers and see if it is any quicker, but 2 hours for a full charge sounds about right to me.

I am trying to charge my Xperia F5122 while on my laptop. Using a Micro-USB Charge/Sync Cable. It is extremely slow charge...as slow as 10 minutes for 1% from 45%-46%. Is there a solution for faster charging. I would prefer to keep my charger at home and use laptop to charge while in office

I doubt there's anything you can do about it, as USB ports in laptops and PCs aren't able to provide as high voltage as a charger can.
